Schlosspark Hellbrunn in Spring

The last time I was at Schlosspark Hellbrunn was last winter, when a big snowfall brought Janna and I out to trek through the snow-covered gardens. With late spring very much firmly settled across the city, a pretty bike ride from my home along the river to the Schloss was the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

You can reach Hellbrunn on foot, by bike, by car or by public transport. The park is free to visit. Right at the entrance to the park you'll spot the pavilion from Sound of Music where they filmed "16 going on 17". Then you can meander your way through the idyllic park, and walk up the hill in the centre with sweeping views of the park, the city and the mountains surrounding us. It was simply perfect.
