The Abbotsford Tulip Festival

All that I’ve seen all over Instagram in the last few weeks is brightly coloured photos of 2.5 million tulips out at the Abbotsford Tulip Festival. I was here last year, and fell in love with the stunning colours, the muddy fields and the childish magic that comes with something so simple and beautiful. Somehow this year they managed to outdo themselves and Sam and I spent an hour wandering the radiant rows of tulips braving the mud in our rubber boots and laughing quietly to ourselves at the poor souls in white converse and heels.

Entrance fees were raised from last year to $8 per person on weekdays and $15 on weekends. Today, Mothers’ Day, was the last day of the 2017 festival but I can’t wait to see what they come up with for next year!
