Snowshoeing at Mount Callaghan

My roommates, who are on exchange from Denmark, are avid outdoorsy people. Eager to see more of this incredible province during their semester abroad, we hit the road for a few days up to Whistler to see what sort of adventures we could rally up.

We hiked up the winter wonderland-esque trail at Rainbow Lake, and trekked down to the base of Brandywine Falls. Our other highlight was driving up to Mount Callaghan in a massive snowstorm. We originally were hoping to hike Callaghan Lake, but the amount of snow meant that even our big Jeep couldn't get through. Instead, we parked the car half-way up and pulled on our snowshoes for a trek up the mountainside instead!
