While on my day trip hopping on and off the bus around Gozo, the second largest island in the Maltese archipelago, I chose to hop off at Xlendi, the first coastal town of the tour, on the south of the island.
The tour also stops at Marsalforn on the north; I'd choose just one to visit as they're very similar and you'll want to focus your time elsewhere.
Xlendi offers spectacular azure waters and truly surreal scenery to take in. It's a great little place for a bite to eat and then hop in the ocean for a cooling dip. The bay is surrounded by natural rock faces, making it a safe and sheltered place to swim.
For those up for a walk, the Xlendi Tower just around the bay offers panoramic views back towards the village and bay.
