We were spending the weekend on Sommarøy as the final stop on our incredible trip around Norway, easily one of the most beautiful and magical countries I've ever been to.
You can read my entire guide to visiting Sommarøy, with all my tips for getting there, where to stay and what to do while you visit this slice of paradise.
One of the best things we did during our weekend on this wild island was to hike up to Ørnfløya, a hill with panoramic views in every direction of fjords, islands and sea. Time it with golden hour for possibly one of the best views you've ever seen.
Technically, Ørnfløya is actually on the island of Kvaløya, however it looks down over Sommarøy and that's the island we were visiting.
