Vancouver has it all: the mountains, the beaches, the skyscrapers, and the ocean. Add night-skiing just a half hour outside the city, and you pretty much have the whole package. We are lucky to have three beautiful ski mountains right on the north shore that are a hiker's paradise in the summer and ski destinations in the winter: Cypress Mountain is furthest West looking out over Howe Sound, Grouse Mountain is in the centre, and Mount Seymour is furthest east.
Night skiing at Cypress is a fantastic evening out on one of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic ski hills. Plus, night skiing means a discounted lift ticket price and you can ski after sunset until 10pm. The night air is dark and starry, lit by the slope lights and the lights of the city twinkling in the distance. The parking lot for Cypress is at the top of Cypress Bowl Road. (Grouse Mountain is transit accessible!)
