I wrote with such optimism our plans for Belgium back in September last year, when Nico and I decided to move back to his country from our beautiful New Zealand where we had met, fallen in love and traveled together. However, Belgium never materialized into the home for me we had hoped it would and as a result, I am moving abroad - solo - hence the quiet front on my blog and other channels recently.
My dad flew in from the States to help me with the move - packing, sorting, driving the moving van, building my furniture... - and along the way to my new home, we made a stop off in the town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, arguably Germany's most picturesque. Quaint views awaited us as we wandered the cobblestoned streets. One can only imagine how idyllic this town is during the holiday season.
