We were sitting in Sarah's Kitsilano apartment craving Indian takeout which we then proceeded to order. We didn't realize it was outside of our delivery area, so we ended up having to hop in the car and go pick it up. Since we were now out of the house, we decided to find a lovely spot for our dinner, and while Kitsilano and Jericho Beaches came to mind, we couldn't find a single place to park.
Instead, we came across the tiny Jean Beaty Park. The park is made up of a patch of grass, a bench and a tree. But, behind the bushes at the edge of the grass, where no one would think to look, a little staircase built into the stone leads down to the waterfront, where moss-covered rocks provide optimal seating for dinner enjoyed with a beautiful Vancouver sunset.
