Mallorca is my favourite island in Europe, one of Spain's four Balearic Islands - alongside Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. The four are nestled off of Spain's southern coast in the Mediterranean, enjoying a delightful climate and a wonderful food scene.
I have been to Mallorca twice - and plan to keep coming back often! - and in that time have been lucky enough to enjoy delicious meals, from mouthwatering Spanish dishes to finding my favourite gelato on the island.
I'll keep updating this list as I continue to sample more yummy spots on future visits!
NOTE: Many restaurants in Mallorca are closed during the winter as it is low season for tourists; always check on Google Maps or directly with the restaurant to make sure they're open when you're visiting the island!

Gelati Mossa
This is far our favourite gelato on the island - we've been quite a few times! Nestled into the idyllic village of Valldemossa and across from our favourite shop, Octopus Home, it's the perfect refreshing treat.
Location: Plaça Cartoixa 18, Valldemossa

Pruna Gelateria Artesana
When you're in Fornalutx, make sure to stop by this delightful artisanal gelato shop to fuel your wanders through Mallorca's most magical village.
Location: Carrer de sa Plaça 5, Fornalutx

Murmui Gelato
We came here for a before-dinner dessert (when you're on holiday, anything goes) and it was creamy and delicious.
Location: Carrer Marquès de Vivot 3, Valldemossa

Surry Hills
A taste of Australian brunch in the heart of Palma with fantastic coffee.
Location: C. del Carme 12, Palma

Bistro Noir
This lively outdoor brunch restaurant on the south coast has tons of yummy, wholesome options before you start your beach-hopping day. We loved the service, especially!
Location: Carrer de Santanyí n9, Cala D'or

Sa Ruta Verda
Primarily a bike stopover on a popular island cycling route, this place has so many great options for all dietary requirements, even if you're not a biker!
Location: 62 Nuestra Senora de Lluc, Caimari

Doble Coffee
We loved this brunch option in Esporles, especially their amazing gluten-free pancakes!
Location: Passeig del Rei 5, Esporles

Doble Coffee
The brunch was so good here we had to come back to try their lunch menu - I can especially recommend their halloumi bites, mmm!
Location: Passeig del Rei 5, Esporles

Sa Fonda
Nestled in a lovely upstairs terrace in the heart of Deià, this place serves up a great comfort food menu. I loved their veg tacos! Plus, if you're lucky, the resident dog might join you for dinner.
Location: Carrer Arxiduc Luís Salvador 5, Deià

Pasta Pasta
Famous for their sunset viewing terrace, these guys do a seriously fabulous pasta dish.
Location: Avinguda Cala Agulla 150, Cala Lliteres

Es Taller
This semi-fine dining experience in Valledmossa offers up a delicious and fresh ever-changing menu in a gorgeous industrial-style airy space. Reservations highly recommended!

This fun spot in Sóller has a wholesome local tapas menu on offer just on the edge of town.
Location: Plaça d'Amèrica 2, Sóller
