Deep Cove is a darling little place on the waterfront in North Vancouver. An afternoon spent here with a book or a journal, enjoying the peace and calm of the sweet place is always a good idea. The cove itself is my favourite spot, and you can wander the pier against a refreshing breeze or rent a kayak at the beach!
The best place for a treat is Honey's Doughnuts, just up the street from the beach and kayak rental center, always packed out the door with people eager to get their hands on a freshly baked doughnut.
For those looking for even more nature than just the incredible views of the cove from the beach, the Quarry Rock hiking trail starts just at the end of the beach. It's a brief 20-30 minute trek up a well-marked trail combining dirt paths and boardwalks to a panoramic view from the top of a huge rock overlooking the cove.
