Day Spa at Belmond La Residencia on Mallorca, Spain

One of our favourite ways to relax and unwind is by heading to a day spa. It's always such a wonderful, indulging experience. We love doing this where I live in the mountains of Austria and now when we travel, we look for spas to enjoy abroad.

It's an especially great way to get to experience some of the world's most luxurious hotels but without the hefty nightly price tag. Often, day spa passes are just a mere fraction of what it costs to spend the night! Wellness hotels only give out a handful of day spa spots; priority of course goes to their overnight guests.

The Belmond La Residencia is arguably one of Mallorca's most iconic and bougiest hotels, the crowning glory of the little village of Deià. When we found out they offered a spa day pass, we simply had to check it out for ourselves.

How to Get to the Belmond La Residencia

You can find out how to get to Mallorca in my detailed travel guide. Below, I've outlined specific information for reaching the Belmond La Residencia in Deià:

By car: The easiest way to get to the Belmond is with your own car. Guests of the hotel (including day spa guests) can park for free on the property.

→ If you don't have your own car, you can rent one in Palma.

By public transport: Luckily, Mallorca is exceptionally-well serviced by public transport. There is a bus stop right outside the Belmond La Residencia. You can take bus 203 (direction Port de Sóller) from Palma straight to the hotel in about 40 minutes.

By private airport transfer: If you are flying into Mallorca and heading directly to the Belmond La Residencia, you can pre-arrange an airport pick-up with the hotel. The hotel is about 40 minutes from the airport by car.

Staying at the Belmond La Residencia

We were staying in a gorgeous finca in the heart of Mallorca and didn't have the budget to stay at the Belmond La Residencia, opting instead to spend one of our days in their day spa.

The Belmond is one of Mallorca's most iconic hotels so if you want to splash out, perhaps celebrating a special occasion, you can book a room in the gorgeous hotel. Facilities at the Belmond La Residencia include:

The Day Spa at the Belmond La Residencia

The day spa at the Belmond La Residencia is an incredible way to indulge in a luxury day as well as get to experience a taste of what one of Mallorca's most luxurious hotels is like - without the hefty nightly price!

With the day pass, you cannot access the iconic outdoor pool, but you are pretty much welcome to explore the rest of the grounds. You can spend all day in their luxury indoor pool, sun tan on the spa terrace, take an ice plunge, lounge around in the outdoor jacuzzi, enjoy the views of Deià, order off the menu (and they'll bring the food to you poolside!) and book additional wellness treatments.

At the time we visited, a day pass for the Belmond La Residencia spa was €75 per person. You can check out their offers online, but the day spa pass is only bookable by a phone a few days in advance as it is subject to availability.
