If you’re looking for a beautiful weekend escape to celebrate Valentine’s with your loved one, may I suggest the gorgeous Banff in the Canadian Rocky mountains.
We left the warmth of Sam’s dorm room at 4:00am and headed out of the city into Banff National Park to catch sunrise at Moraine Lake, arguably one of the most picturesque locations in Canada.
Shortly after arriving in Calgary, we were eager to get back out into the mountains in the last few days of the summer.
Our sixth (and final) day on the road saw us trekking beyond Golden into the gorgeous Glacier National Park.
Our fifth day on the road saw us exploring the areas around the beautiful town of Banff, and then crossing the Alberta border back into British Columbia to discover what beauty we could find in Yoho National Park.
Our fourth day on the road saw us driving the entire stretch of the Icefields Parkway through the two most beautiful national parks in Canada.
