Shortly after arriving in Calgary, we were eager to get back out into the mountains in the last few days of the summer. We gathered up a group of Sam’s friends and hit the mountains in search of views and adventure.
One of Sam’s friends suggested Borgeau Lake in Canmore – what none of us realized was that it was a 14km round trip and, in late September, is icy cold at the top. Still beautiful and still worth it? Absolutely.
The hike only had a few sections that were intensely steep, but the views were so picturesque it was easy to keep your eyes up and not on the ground that you were battling ahead of you.
