One of the cool things you can do practically right in Vancouver is hit the slopes for night skiing. We are lucky to have three beautiful ski mountains right on the north shore, less than half an hour drive from downtown.
Night skiing usually comes with a discounted lift ticket price and you can ski after sunset until 10pm. It’s pitch black outside, save for the well-lit slopes and the lights of the city twinkle in the distance.
To get up to Cypress Mountain you need a car to drive up the Cypress Bowl Road to the Olympic Parking Lot, but other mountains such as Grouse are transit-accessible.
Sarah and I ventured up to Cypress with her dad right after my first day of university classes ended to take in the beautiful evening snow.
