Full of history and quaint charm, Stratford-upon-Avon checks all the boxes for a lovely British day out.
Upon arrival, we sought out the biggest tourist attraction in town, Shakespeare’s birthplace and childhood home.
We stopped in at the quaint and perfect little Nutcracker Shop, because who doesn’t want Christmas in August?!
A peruse among the tudor-house-lined streets led us to Garrick Inn, the oldest inn in Stratford – featuring a ‘ShakesBeer’ on the menu to celebrate Shakespeare’s 450th birthday!
We took a small chartered boat tour down the River Avon, upon which the quaint little town of Stratford is situated, to take in the sights from the water.
